A British tourist shot dead in Thailand has been named by the Foreign Office as Stephen Ashton.
He was reportedly killed at a New Year's Eve party after being caught in the crossfire during a fight between two local gangs.
The 22-year-old was said to have died as he danced with friends at a beach bar on the island of Koh Phangan.
